Will we put in a second decent performance in a row under Moyes for the first time or will we revert to the disorganised rabble we have been for 18 months again?
For me that is what really matters. The results are needed and would be great but the intensity and commitment are almost as important . A draw would be fine in the next 2 games
If the performance levels are raised for good the results should improve.
I gave Moyes 10 games. Jury is still out. Seen some improvement but not consistency needed to bring that most dreadful emotion of "hope" :-)

Great to see some optimism on here, sadly Im not but would love to be proved wrong, I think Chelsea have been way better than City in the last month and that could spell disaster anyway come on you Irons , prove me wrong

For some Reason I’m also blindly optimistic. Problem is do we sit deep to avoid their pace getting in behind which will basically allow morata to find lots of space or play a higher line which will allow Hazzard etc to no doubt beat our extremely slow defenders for pace

Sports guy on 5Live was saying Hart has been dropped for Adrian but not seen that confirmed
Always reluctant to take some of these things as gospel as often they have skim read something about Hart v Adrian and made presumptions. Before getting back to concentrating on Man U & City.

I agree it may be painful to the eyes but with our current squad setting up that way even at home against the better teams is the only way we have a chance to get anything.
We have seen for 2 years even in the Payet era that we take the game to the better teams we concede goals by the basketful:-(
Anyone who watch even that 1985/86 season will remember we we were a counter attacking team with the ball over the top to a certain McAvennie and Cottee. Geoff Pike was key though as the water carrier and we had Wally Walford at left back. :-)

Realistically 3 goals against today and Wednesday, we lose these games when we are good! We will only stay up beating the second group

God I'd love to win this against this lot. Can't see it but the way we played against City gives me a little bit of optimism.
Think the crowd needs to play its part today. Early kick offs tend to be flat and shit but we've got to try and lift them. Fuck the board they can wait.

I can see us getting something today.
But agree important thing is a good performance and yes we should sit back, but I would like to see more constructive attacking and less panicing boot it up the park. We pay those guys a fortune and they should be able to pass forward under pressure...
